I wish we were friends so I could tell my husband the next time I want something, “you are lucky…you could be married to Victoria” .and his face would get pale at the the thought and he would be grateful to get me the thing he thinks I am crazy for wanting!

You are a great writer. I have a closet of curiosities and suitcases of surprise, but nothing as wonderful as nuclear war of fanciness.

I was annoyed at the 30 seconds of annoying ads I had to wait to end before watching the real video of GTFs, my time being so IMPORTANT and my attention span of a gnat…. but then I started smiling as I read, then I started laughing, then I was hooting with hilarity and scaring my dogs, so in the end that 30 seconds of advertising hell was worth it….that is a total lie, but then I lie with impunity.

Nothing like a GFT post ! I recently heard someone say ” It is not hoarding , it’s resource management”
    My feelings exactly!

Wow! and Wow again. But I realized a true fact. No matter how giant or fancy and perfectly lovely they are, the Giant Fancies will never surpass your unique and glorious writing skill. Thank goodness I found you cause I am pretty much off most blogs-except for Karen Bertelsen at The Art of Doing Stuff-she is amazing and she grows Dalias…..

Great job on buying that against all odds! I love the way you write. Hopefully Paul won’t notice the entire house is covered in mirrors until it’s too late.;)

What does Paul actually do? I feel he has to be an engineer. Or some such similarly technical background. And how fortunate he exists to fill the position of Acquisitions and Facility Manager of the Mirror Emporium.

I LOVE reading your posts. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Also, I hope that my next husband( #3 if there is one) will be as untroubled as yours. The first two were very troubled. Thank You for making me laugh!

Can I be your auction trolling friend? We just moved to the Main Line, the bastion of liquor barons and other fabulous people who don’t need new friends, and I also love and get in trouble for acquiring GFTs. I promise not to bid against you!

THAT MIRROR is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Sorry, but better than the Kingdom Mirror and a thousand times better than the Painted Lady Mirror, although I would like her better if she were stained and not painted!

he exists to fill the position of Acquisitions and Facility Manager of the Mirror Emporium. You must be related to VEB ….I wish we could have a plaque struck for his office door cause you nailed it.

Re: cell service in New Mexico. When I visited my son in Zuni NM last Thanksgiving, I could not get cell service AT THE FOOT OF THE CELL TOWER! How can people live like that? (Probably very quietly and meditatively.)

Man. My life is boring. I bought 5 bar carts to paint and sell, but I brought only 2 home and painted those. The other 3 are in the storage unit. I CANNOT bring all 5 home! Now my husband wanted to empty the storage unit, and he wanted to go there himself, personally. Ummmm …

Our bar is set lower over here. He thought having 2 little bar carts was crazy. I need to show him these mirrors so he realizes that little bar carts, heck that’s NOTHING.

Also, I need to be a crazier life-necklace. It sounds like fun!

Dear Victoria, if you are still in Belgium, I will say ONE WORD: TONGEREN. It’s where the military wives go antique shopping for GFTs!!!! Yup! Have fun! Tell your husband that I said I’m sorry. (Not sorry at all!!!! Just tell him I am!)
