You are SO SO funny! I just read your post about your brothers and you buying them goofy presents and jumping off the front porch, etc. It was so funny. I laughed out loud! I love your blog.

Merry Christmas VEB! Fostering sounds like it’s been so good for you and the kittens. Still sorry for your loss of Elvis. Enjoy your time with your brothers. <3

Hi, I’m fairly new to your blog, but I’m so glad that I happened upon it. Each post fills me with envy and longing for what is clearly your super power of finding these beautiful THINGS. I always find something that i can do that I would never have thought of. I also shed a tear or two when you talk about Elvis, THE kittens or any kittens for that matter.
Thanks for the roller coaster of emotions 😉 It’s good to feel things.

Merry Christmas to you and yours and thank you!

Dear VEB: I must type this quick, because I still can’t believe it myself. Have never even owned a cat, but thanks to you, have signed up to be a foster caregiver to kittens with our local Metro Animal Services. Haven’t been given a litter, or even one, yet, but the director said this is a slow time of year for kittens… but they’re coming. Okay, there I said it. I’ll keep you posted.

Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your life with your readers.

Lovely little bookcase, obviously you need it. Thanks for the fun Christmas post and the break, as I am weary of elf-ing with my dual Kitchen Aids, tempering chocolate and tying up cello bags. Nice respite lying on the sofa in front of the tree, reading you.
Your tux kitty looks like such a love 🙂

You are adorable and I laugh all though your posts. 😊 I am a cat lover/owner too and feed every stray that comes my way. ( just fed “little gray” a big bowl of milk and a serving of kibble! 😊) Anyway, you and I could be bffs. If only you lived in Michigan! We could share estate sale and kitten tips and GFTs. 😊 Merry Christmas my friend, keep doing what you’re doing. You make many people happy, and you do not constantly post photos of peonies in a farm sink. 😊 Enjoy your holiday! ( I may or may not be slightly tipsy on Christmas champagne… hint: I am! lol!)

p.s. The left behind kitten’s parents should call you. (Seriously? WTH?)

    Dear Victoria,
Im smiling as I write this, wishing to THANK you for the gift your posts are! I discovered your blog a few months ago when researching old home restoration tips, and I laughed for hours that day, not making it past your site. I LOVE the way you express things and not only is your sense of humor a joy, but the understanding of that need to have these certain old and often one-of-a-kind things, is so wonderful to share! So again, and thanks for sharing your beautiful finds and sweet kitties. Most sincerely~ Lisa

When our sons were still at home we used to foster kittens every summer. Those kittens were all so well-socialized when we brought them back!
