The reason you do not want bullnose, (Paul) other than it’s boringness is because anything that spills runs around the entire edge and then runs down the face of cabinet, piano, etc.

Thank you for making me laugh, Miss Victoria. I love fancy, too. What if you use your least favorite piece as the experiment piece? Gluing, drilling, Scooby-doing,… And who says you need the same edge on all the edges? Maybe save the most difficult for the smallest edge? Keep going, girl, we love you.

Ahhhhh! I love all of your shinyestness * ✨I’m dying to see this kitchen,as I am planning mine right now also. I kept thinking…if i was to stack this marble,I’m afraid I would have to also reinforce my flooring…..as I cannot imagine how heavy that kitchen island would end up.
    I will stay tuned

My husband Steven is very much like your Paul; there is nothing much he won’t try when it comes to DIY. But THIS, the stone, he won’t even consider. Hire the professionals to do the edge, and to match up any seams you may have. Plus, they’ll do the heavy lifting!

oh you definitely need fancy edges – I like the edges in the 2nd picture at the top, very fancy. As for the next post just cut it in half down the middle with an awesome cliff hanger “to be continued….” – it’ll be like you have your own soap opera and we’ll all wait with baited breath for installment #2. 😉

Anyone would like to help me out please? I am confused about the counter top edges. I am also do a kitchen soon and would like a fancy edge. What is the second picture down that was posted? I am thinking about something just like. Is that dupont cove or french cove . I wanted to do a double laminated on the island and single slab same edge everywhere else. Traditional style kitchen with European flair.
