That was a great video. And I can understand all that effort for the headboard. It’s awesome looking.

Are you related to Charlie Chaplin?

Love the video! So impressed by the dancing, the tethers, that you took out the ENTIRE window to get the headboard in… Wow. That is true love folks, right there!

I even showed this to my husband who like you and me, must be a twin to Paul, because he said the first thing he would so is tie a rope around me to make sure he didn’t lose his greatest treasure… me! We loved the video. Now, we are waiting for the finished product, which are mounds of comfy bedding piled with tons of gloriously bowed pillows!

I refuse to use the word awesome. One of my personal quirks. What else means over the top best of eveything? I won’t bring you down by saying what I’m dealing with right now. Unspeakable. I needed something tonight to keep from going under. Knew just where to go. Worked, as I knew it would. You are the total package, with sprinkles. And your follower fans are a great bonus. Thank you, one and all.

    b) getting it into the bedroom
    c) your theatrical talents.

    You are awesome.

I found your blog through a comment you made on a post over at Young House Love. This is the first post I’ve read. That video made me smile when I really needed to smile today and for that I give you a big thanks. Also, I may become addicted to your blog if I find more 1920’s dancing and twirling videos. That was adorable.

Despite the awesomeness of the bed, obviously, I’m more puzzled that you were able to take your window out, just like that? I must be missing something. All the windows we have here in California don’t open, the slide, and are a permanent fixture.

We have windows here that you can release from the inside and detach the top portion and bottom portion for cleaning. There are separate sliding screens so you don’t get birds and squirrels inside wile the windows are detached.

So I keep thinking about your mirror troll and what it would say about the fact that, yes, you got a Kingdom mirror for $300… but what would it be willing pay for a Mirror From Heaven: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/atq/4341783459.html … which is only – after all – located in South Carolina. I believe that if you sit in front of this mirror you will see yourself as Head Boy and Gryffindor Quidditch Captain.

What? No appropriate locale for 8 feet of carved life-sized gilt babies? Perhaps you have a velvet clam sofa we haven’t seen yet where this ostentatious beauty could stand watch.

OMG I loved the video! The music was perfect. The headboard is beautiful. Paul is a genius. And the dance at the end was Perfect!

Maggie is right — you and Paul need your own reality t.v. show

OMG! I love this video ESPECIALLY your dancing! How did you make it look so silent movie style. Amazing. And I believe I may have shared on Google+ first. Or Google doesn’t have a counter. Not sure but I love it!

I would very much like to borrow Paul please. As he appears used to long drives, a flight around the world really isn’t that much different. See, when my husband and I went to a bed store to buy our mattress, my husband said “you go and choose what you like and I’ll wait here”. Except ‘here’ was my husband sprawling out on one of the display beds having a rest while I shopped for an hour. I wish I had a blog back then.

I can’t decide what part of the video I love the most – probably that your *awesome* husband sacrificed his safety once you were on the roof and tied you to the house (rather than himself). I too have a wonderful husband and constantly have to acknowledge that I did, indeed, marry up. All my best to you on your amazing house/reno/life journey!

I can’t tell you how much I loved this post – ( except if it were me I would have broke out into a dance and the headboard would have went flying off the roof LMHO )
    Too funny!
    But that headboard?
Make sure your windows are locked – because I may just find out where you live and twirl all the way from Montreal – make my way up to your roof – and steal it – while your sleeping………
