Meet me at the Country Living Fair.
I’m going on tour— bringing my message of motivational hoarding to the needy masses!
I have demanded the appropriate superstar requirements for my dressing room:
champagne!
kittens!
marines!
I will reveal the secrets of the universe! Giant Fancy Things!
I will be bringing wisdom! Jazz hands! Enlightenment! Strangely oversized accessories!
Does that sound amazing or what!
You know Country Living Magazine?
Yes, that one.
Do you know they host a three-day event?
The pages of Country Living Magazine come to life! Great shopping for antiques, furniture, handcrafted goods, art, vintage and upcycled goods, home and garden decor… Plus Country Livings’s Kitchen and Main stages with demos and presentations by the editors and their guests, live music, how-to’s, and artisan demonstrations throughout the fair.
I’ll be in:
— Rhinebeck NY Sunday, June 4 @ noon, Main Stage (all the fair info is here… final schedule is not up yet– I’ll update when it’s available!)
— Columbus OH Saturday, September 16 @ time tbd, Main Stage (all the fair info is here, no schedule yet)
I will be dancing! Singing! Marching around and twirling a flag and behaving staunchly, while wearing an outfit made entirely of scarves, towels, and an excessive number of vintage brooches… I mean, hello! WHY WOULD YOU DEPRIVE YOURSELF? (do I need to be concerned this reference is lost on you?)
Also, whatevs but you can also see some HGTV people and shop like nine million vendors… incase (weirdly) the thrill of my personality isn’t enough to get you to leave the house.

Where have been all your posts? I have missed you! I don’t need a ticket…I live in Nebraska…won’t be attending but I would like to hear what you have to say! Good luck. Keep me out of the raffle for tickets. Just commenting.

Me too! I have been starved of cool GFTs that Victoria has found.

I would love to come see you in NY!!

Me, me! Pick me!
May 24, 2017 @ 10:19 am
OH! MY! My (beautiful) daughter and I will be attending the Fair….Cannot believe that YOU, curator of GFT’s will also be there…I often wax poetic about your blog, Girlie, and would like nothing better than for you two gals to meet….you see, SHE also likes GFT’s, (but they must be expensive, also) just to round things out. Anyway, we three MUST be kindred spirits, because we are so often on the same wavelength–I mean, who elso but YOU and I would think about turning a grand piano into a kitchen island??? (Well, er, actually, MY plan is to use a tree stump–a GF tree stump for my island base).
So, Dearie, pick my name so we can meet!

I came to see you in NH and I loved your presentation! (but you did not wear your towel outfit for us?) maybe I’ll make the drive if I can convince a friend. You improved my antiquing alot and I might benefit from a refresher.

Oh yeah! I’ll make the multi hr road trip to see ya! Free entrance ticket pppplease!
May 24, 2017 @ 10:23 am
Ahhh – you’ll be at the Columbus Fair!? So will I! Well, I’ll just be shopping the nine million vendors and lurking about your stage because I’m not famous enough to be a presenter, but still — eeeekkk 😀

Through your posts.

I think they need a fair in Texas!
May 24, 2017 @ 11:17 am
Me too!

I’m sure you ladies are aware of the Round Top/Warrenton Antique Fair that is held twice a year between Austin and Houston – lasts almost three weeks and has wonderful GFTs and all the project pieces to fill your garages and barns for a lifetime. And Country Living has had its own tent at Marburger Farms with all kinds of freebies and wonderful guests. I hope they will bring our lovely Elizabeth to Texas for a show – can’t imagine anyone more entertaining. Next show is in September – check the Round Top Chamber of Commerce website for show information. Spotted in the crowds: Chip and Joanna Gaines, Martha Stewart, Nate Berkus, Magnolia Pearl, Rachel Ashwell (who has a B&B in the area/The Prairie), Matt McConnahaughy, Sandra Bullock, the Junk Gypsies and their “world headquarters,” Miranda Lambert. Anyway, it’s well worth the trip.
Elizabeth, thanks for your wonderful blog. It isn’t often we can find a perfect woman to emulate!
