The kitchen floor is finished! *video*
A freak thing happened to hold up the floor schedule… because I am an adult, I just screamed into a pillow.
I will write a real before-and-after post in my next life… in the meantime, here is a video.
You will see:
The floors turned out.
The mirror is in progress.
I am feeling it.
I am looking forward to showing you how we put the glass in the frame… it was an absolutely idiotic task; somehow Paul made it practical.
In case you missed the first video, go here–> we dismantled the kitchen, IT WAS OVERWHELMING.
So… life is hectic. But excellent.
My bff came to visit.
My brothers are coming in tonight.
Absolutely nothing in the garden is thriving in this extreme heat.
A groundhog came through on the kale smorgasbord express.
What I’m reading: The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs: A New History of a Lost World.
Now this post is over… I will write a better one soon.

Sadly, the video refused to load correctly, no matter how nicely I asked it to play. I’m sure it looks lovely and that your dancing abilities are shown to their best advantage.

Video loaded for me, no problem and you are a great performer. I am awestruck by the number of mirrors ,I knew you had found 5? great ones large small and galactic but wow mirrors galore! The floor is beautiful and creating a thing of beauty and a joy forever takes time and patience. Rock on VEB and Paul. Being just a regular human here’s my standing ovation and a sky full of fireworks to you both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your dancing, your music added to the video (you are a genius) the floors are awesome! Just wondering where the glass sans mirror is going? I must have missed that info somewhere in past posts… Beyond creative wherever it goes!

So happy for you! The best thing about watching your videos is watching your super handsome husband. I think he looks just like Don Draper, only way better. He is entirely too good-looking for words. Oh, and so is the new floor!

I read this while resting my bad shoulder and waiting for primer in the new bathroom [in the new mudroom, that used to be the kitchen] to dry. and I think two things:
1. Paul needs to give lessons. My Mr is great at destruction, but not the building back. and not so much with me telling him how to do things that require delicacy and precision – like plumbing. but back to my original point on Paul and lessons, this is how you will make your fortune. Women will send you their husbands in the hopes that they can be taught to be more Paul-like.
2. you MUST have a sock footed dance party with all of your peeps and furkids in that wide open space before the kitchen goes in. and film it.

So awesome you are! I also watched your wedding video again and am not only impressed by the amazing and varied dancing, but by the beautiful fit of your strapless gown and how it stayed up through all that dancing! I would expect nothing less from your excellent planning, but still – RESPECT 🙂

Loved the flooring dance – and your outfit too! So fun to have that new, wide opened space for a bit to dance with abandon! Hope the kitties are good too! Groundhogs gotta eat too I guess, and kale is so healthy!

The video was great and the kitchen floor looks amazing. I especially liked the part in the video that looks like it was shot in Vincent Price’s house of mirrors! LOL

Okay…this may sound crazy, but as I watched the mirrors that were placed all though the house, I was thinking that all of your doorways/pass-throughs should be crazy fancy archways.
It would be glorious!!!!

The video loaded for me but knowing your position on meat, did you know the ad that runs before it is for Hillshire Farms lunch meat?

Surprised to see an ad for super processed nitrate laden lunch meat on your video.
Floors look great by the way. How long did it have to cure before showing us your flashy moves?
Now you have to make a decision on cabinets!
Or something completely new and unknown to kitchenkind.
