This post was too funny!! “There in the ratty old box was GRANDMA!” I think you must be a kindred spirit to my own Mom. She has a deeply amazing talent for finding and hording the most amazing furniture, dishes, vintage clothing and straight up junk in the entire universe. What would it be like if all the people like you and my Mom met each other?!! It would be NUCLEAR!! And then you’d go second hand shopping all together. Love, love, LOVE your blog.

Kaththee, I feel you. So many questions in my mind about the state of the house the cats, and of course our VEB! It’s been over a year since we’ve had an update. If only I had Instagram, maybe there are updates there. I just don’t have any of those things.

Victoria, it’s been a minute since I read your blog, probably since before the lockdown in 2020. I had forgotten your funny stories of buyer’s remorse and folk. Every single line you write is hilarious. I needed a laugh and you provided a hundred! Thanks much!

Are you sure you are not married to my husband…..too?? The blood started draining from my face as I was reading your description of Paul. My husband, too, is frugal beyond rational debate! He, too, will say “We don’t need that, Yamie!” As I browse through Auctions houses and am determined that I need a grinding mill.
My husband, too, will tell me to put back that oil painting for 4$ because we have no wall space left for anything else and then will proceed to buy some little doodad for dirt cheap that he has 12 of already! Reading this I was picturing my husband the entire time!
I think I am going to have to ask my husband where he is three weeks out of the month that I do not see him…… hmm
