Just discovered your blog through a friend, like minded we are! Fostering is very difficult – I have three dogs right now, one was a foster, just could.not.let.him.go. I had people come and meet him, and then told them he was adopted and no longer available because…

Love your bookcase find, have never seen one in all my years of junk hunting! We’re in the process of renovating a tiny seaside cottage and oh, would that piece be perfect for the books in one of the little nooks.

Happy New Year, and congrats on the great “foster” commitment – it is a hard thing to do when you love them so.

Victoria you are surely the sister I was meant to have! I giggle knowingly through your posts and know my dear husband feels the pain of Paul…but is equally as supportive! GREAT job on the mini barrister in all of it’s quarter sawn oak splendor! And the chalkboard is perfection. Don’tquestionthelittlevoiceandtagrippingimpulseEVER. LOL. Your house I am sure is being transformed beautifully from the sad shape she was in. #Hoardersunite

In my early twenties we did a reno on an old house built around 1858 or so. You and I suffer from the same illness, love of fancy big old things.

Have you turned to the inside of your treasures yet. I ordered a 24k gold wallpaper from England and lined (did not use glue it was heavy enough to just lay in place & did no damage) my antique cabinet and furniture drawers with it so when friends or family (or even myself) opened the drawers or doors the inside was just like a jewelry box.

My husband is so thankful as of now I am cured of my love of reno’s and fancy antique treasures.

Btw the little bookcase would be oh so cute in a tiny little bathroom for antique perfume bottles or a closet to store shoes or handbags etc. I always use furniture pieces for my closets because it looks like a beautiful boutique. I realize most people can’t do that because closets are usually small and mine are larger than most bedrooms due to the reno.

May you continue to find beautiful treasures that fill your heart and home.

I would have arm wrestled you for that little barrister! So unique. It would be perfect for 2 miniature scenes.

On an older post; I totally understand about filling in eyebrows. I’m almost 69; and I’ve been trying my whole life to get my eyebrows to match. I have now resigned myself to the fact that it will never happen.

Wow you must be the illegitimate sister of mine my mom never knew she had but I don’t have either the time or the talent you have…. but my husband DID build an alcove into my upstairs hallway to put an antique dresser I bought that I had no place for
