Oh, V.E.B., you delight us so much! I can not wait to see what awesome thing you did. I have a separate blog where I used to blog some of my embarrassing stories. But then I stopped.

    Please, never stop.

I read the Houzz article. Here is my favorite part: “My husband likes to point out that if I had been on the Titanic, it would not have sunk. The ship would have been kept afloat by my sheer aversion to diverting from the plan.” And I TOTALLY believe him!! Love the article, am so exciteddd for more updates!

But, but, but…you said you would be both Dog AND Pony. It’s going to get real ugly if I’m left to my own devices. Can’t wait to hear what you did. Anyone, anyone? Guilt vs gilt… anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Victoria, you are my guide and inspiration. And no, you are not the slowest blogger in the world. I firmly hold that distinction. Since I am a newby blogger, I thought the process would get easier, but now I realize that it won’t. You have also crushed my dream that that the house remodel I’m am about to embark on will be a fun romp toward perfection. Plus, I’m soooooo envious of your Houzz gig. And then there’s Huffington Post. How do you do it?

Woohoo! I saw the Houzz! I can literally scroll through that app for hours. I am in love with you. Is that okay? Only, in an I’m married with 2 kids and would really just love to live near you and stalk your every amazing move in a non threatening manner and then share a fizzy pink cocktail on your disco porch kind of way. “Hello. My name is Osh and I am addicted to Victoria-ness.” Your humiliation, I’m quite sure, would make all of us very proud. If any of us could be even a smidge as entertaining as you while we face melt, we would all be more content with ourselves.

Edited to add: Pretty sure I was on crack when we walked through our house the first time, during a quick showing. I missed everything that was wrong with it and only saw the things I loved. Sigh.

Congratulations on your Houzz story–great job (and an honest assessment)! Also beautiful photos. I am suddenly aware that not one square inch of my house is clean. Not one. And I wouldn’t be able to get it clean even if Houzz was coming for a photo shoot. And we are about to rip out the kitchen sink. That should help!! Can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve for your kitchen remodel!

I did! I followed you over from Houzz! Thank you for the wonderful article. I’m thrilled to find your blog. It’s the perfect find for me now that my husband and I have purchased his childhood home. It’s a 50-year old ranch stable farmhouse in south Texas. We won’t be living there during renovation, but our youngest daughter will. My late father-in-law built the house himself, from house plans that he drew up. (Insert here… He was a farmer/rancher not a carpenter/architect). Now that we own it, I’ve realized there is way more renno than I ever imagined… Your blog may save my sanity! I’m a new follower and new avid fan. I’m looking forward to reading from the beginning as we start our own journey and labor of love. Blessings. Dixie
