You look amazing. Wonderful outfit. 🙂 You would totally do better as Don Draper’s BETTER half.

    Of course, I haven’t seen the show since Season 1, but…yeah. 😉 Happy Hallowe’en.

Obviously I have something of a Mad Men…errr… fetish, is probably not too strong a word, although it makes me sound insane.

Halloween is the one day I can dress like this, and not be committed. ☺
      Happy Halloween!!

Right before I hit publish, I was like—I *really* cannot believe I’m about to put this on the Internet! Blogging has turned me into someone I don’t always recognize!!

    Victoria,
If I make typos in this reply it’s because I’m bleary -eyed from laughing so hard! Love the dress, no, really, I think that dress works in today’s fashion as well as it would have in the sixties. I want to go as you to next year’s Halloween party and have Mr. B dye his hair and go as Don.
I’ve got to learn how to work with images on my site so that I can photoshop myself into Downton Abbey pictures…which is more my speed…especially since I lived through the sixties (I was but a child).
    Happy Halloween.

LOL! Calling my skills photoshopping is probably an offense to anyone who actually uses photoshop.

All I did was cut and paste the photos together. Literally. No image editor. I was actually pretty happy with the jarring result… it’s weirder that way.

You would look AWESOME in Downton Abbey. Everything is better with a butler!
      Happy Halloween!!

Thanks, Victoria. From your blog post to Julian Fellowes, I’d love to let him know I’d be content with a minor role as a maid. 🙂

Personally? I’m hoping to replace Maggie Smith. Obviously, I wouldn’t be nearly as magnificent, but her role is so phenomenal, I wouldn’t be happy playing anyone else!!

Don should be so lucky! A girl like you… WAY out of his league. (giggle) But he is freakin’ hot, isn’t he? LOVE the “costume”. I call it a costume… but really I think you should wear it around town from time to time because it looks FABULOUS, dahling. The pearls are awesome!

Super cute, Victoria. I think AMC should use this as a promo for the upcoming season! I hear Don will be hitting the beach in Hawaii… can you say “hunk in a bathing suit”? 🙂 (with a drink in his hand and a cigarette, of course) Happy Halloween! I’m off to eat a tootsie roll.

I though I was Don’s biggest fan…. But In looking for pics of him for this post, I found a link to an ebay listing where they auctioned off a walk-on appearance in the show’s next season.

The auction was over, which is a good thing, since I *badly* would have wanted to outbid the winning buyer—$30,200.  Crazy, no?

      Happy Halloween!

Next I may buy Paul a fedora and just call him Don… We’ll see how he feels about that.

I love Megan Calvet Draper! Maybe I feel a weird young step-mother complicity with her or something. But I also love Betty… Adorable costume and post, love Mad Men, too!

I was so certain that Don and Betty *must* be going to get back together… so Megan is kind of the wrench in my ultimate Mad Men plot.

Also, I feel that Megan has unfairly gotten the “new and improved” version of Don… which makes me mad. Everyone acts like Betty’s just crazy—rather than how maybe Don made her that way.

They soo definitely left it open. I do like Betty’s new husband though, he is a good guy. If I say I totally get Betty… omg… does that make me crazy, too? Wow I am way too invested in this show — it’s my dream to write a doctoral dissertation on it… too bad I’m in the wrong field!!!

Betty is so reviled, I hesitate to tell people how much I love her. I agree her new husband is lovely… he’s just not Don. And, as you can see? I’m kind of fixated on Don.

If I could go live inside my TV with those people, I totally would.

I go away for barely a week and I miss this fabulousness? Damnit you look amazing and that cast photo – I’m still trying wipe the tears away from my eyes. I tried getting into Mad Men but couldn’t and I have no idea why. Actually I do. I think I just needed complete concentration on the show. It’s sort of like Breaking Bad. Smart shows require smart viewing habits meaning no “Mommy I want jooooooooooce pleeeezzzzzz” in the background every 5 mins. I’ll catch up in 20 years and that style will still be as sexy and cool as it is on you. 🙂

Mad Men is like the perfect storm for me—I love every single piece of it. The sets, the plot, the actors, the costuming… Multiplied by my tendency for obsessive focus on something I love. Plus, I find Don Draper wildly attractive.

As much as I think Star Wars conventions or other wacky, comic-based gatherings of people who seem a little on the fringe… are inexplicably weird? I would TOTALLY go to a Mad Men convention.

Hope you were on vacation, and that it was relaxing… or exciting, whichever was the goal.

If it weren’t incredibly uncomfortable, I would totally dress like that all the time… Also, I’m pretty sure it explains why Betty is in such a bad mood all the time… I think if she wore sweatpants, she’d be an entirely different person.
